The Syrian Engineering Guide Project: Engineering the Road to Recovery

In light of the major challenges facing the reconstruction process in Syria, the “Syrian Engineering Guide” initiative was launched as a response from specialized Syrian experts, combining global experience with local insight.

The project aims to develop a practical and comprehensive engineering and architectural reference guide that presents modern international standards in the construction industry, but in a simplified and adapted format suitable for the Syrian context.

Who is the target audience?

  • Young engineers: to develop their skills and improve their professional competence.
  • Homeowners: To help them make informed decisions when building.
  • Construction and contracting companies: To improve the quality of execution.
  • Construction workers as a whole: To raise the level of engineering and architectural practices.

What makes the project unique?

The first phase of the project focuses on designing buildings that are accessible to people with disabilities and war victims, with a plan to gradually expand to cover various aspects of modern construction.

Our goal is to bring global knowledge to Syria and adapt it to the needs of society, as part of the path to recovery and sustainable urban development.

Why is this project important?

  • Supporting psychological and social recovery: Through designs that take into account the needs of people with disabilities and war victims.
  • Providing a simplified technical reference: Clear language and practical content that meets the needs of engineers, workers, and decision-makers.
  • Promoting sustainability and efficiency: By disseminating concepts of sustainable construction and resource efficiency.
  • Contributing to the development of regulatory frameworks: in line with the current challenges and opportunities in Syria.

Our vision:
“Engineering Syria’s road to recovery”… Based on global knowledge, towards a better urban reality that serves everyone.
