Our school – Our space

What does the project offer?

In the heart of Jaramana, three schools (primary, middle, and high school) are regaining their colors, memories, and future through the project “Our School… Our Space.” This project does not promise new construction or radical changes to the infrastructure, but it works on something that may be more important: restoring the relationship between the student and their space, between the child and the place where they spend half their day.

We start by painting the walls of the courtyards in carefully selected colors, aimed at welcoming students with warmth and curiosity. These colors not only bring the space to life visually, but also create a sense of belonging and warmth. We also provide interactive tools that enhance learning and discovery, transforming the school from a static place into a living space that encourages students to play, think, and create. Partial maintenance of the facilities (about 60%) is also carried out, so that the school receives the respect it deserves, not only as a human being, but as part of this community.

Our interest in this project does not end with the completion of the painting and fittings; we accompany the school throughout the school year to ensure that these changes are stable and sustainable.

Rebuilding our country starts with the smallest details. A school is not just a building, but an environment where a child’s personality and values are formed. When schools are neglected, children learn that their environment is not worthy of care, and this is reflected in themselves and their community. Our project restores the importance of the school environment and instills in children a sense that they are seen and respected, and that they deserve to live in a clean, safe, and stimulating space.

In a country where public spaces have lost much of their value, our school project is an educational and social initiative that affirms that change begins with the environment in which children grow up.
