“One hour from You Builds a Generation” is an educational volunteer project that seeks to bridge the gap between traditional academic education and the changing needs of the job market in Syria. It is based on a simple and effective idea: anyone who can donate an hour of their time can make a real difference in a student’s life. Through an easy-to-use digital platform, the project organizes the educational process between students and volunteers, either in person or remotely. Data is collected, needs are identified, and lessons are provided free of charge, under the supervision of specialized field and technical teams. The project specifically targets students who are behind in their studies or those who seek to develop professional skills that are relevant to the local and global job market.
In light of the profound challenges facing the education sector, this project offers a flexible and intelligent response:
It does not rely on massive infrastructure or require significant funding. Rather, it builds on what is already available: time, experience, and willpower.
What sets the project apart:
Completely free
Flexible and scalable
Based on a real database of student needs
Provides up-to-date content focused on the skills actually required in the job market
Applicable in various Syrian provinces
Our vision is for every Syrian child and young person to have equal access to education, regardless of their economic or geographical circumstances. We believe that volunteering has a tangible role to play in building a more just and stable future.
